Classic Corvette Raffle
For nearly four decades, St. Bernard Church has raffled a classic car with winners drawn at the annual Summer Social in August. We are known nationwide for our raffle and the vintage, high quality and original Corvettes that we offer each year. This is St. Bernard’s top fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the church, school and preschool.

Benefit Auction and Dinner
Each April heralds the coming of the St. Bernard Annual Benefit Auction and Dinner! This fun evening features great food, a silent auction, and live auction. Proceeds from this benefit go to the parish and the school.

Summer Social
The St. Bernard Summer Social features delicious fried chicken and roast beef dinners, our famous mock turtle soup, homemade ice cream and other tasty foods, games and activities for all ages, including the big money raffle, quilt raffle and the Classic Corvette Raffle. Join us on the 3rd Sunday of August.

Half Pot Raffle
Anyone in the Cluster Parishes can participate in this the Half Pot Raffle for only $1 per week. Envelopes can be found in the vestibule at St. Bernard next to the wooden box on the wall. You can play weekly, yearly or any amount in between. Every dollar equals one week of play. If you are a member of St. Bernard, your envelope number is automatically in the drawing each week and all you need to do is pay your dollar to play. If you are a member at St. Martin and would like to participate, call the parish office, a number will be assigned, and then you pay to play. If your number is drawn in a given week and you are actively playing, you win the pot for that week. If your number is drawn and you are not playing, there is no winner and the money will roll over and be added to the next week’s drawing. Sesquicentennial Celebration
St. Bernard Catholic Church is celebrating its 175th Anniversary on June 8, 2025. A special Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. that day followed by a reception at South Spencer High School in the gymnasium. Parishioners can expect to receive an invitation, so please save the date and come celebrate this milestone with us!
St. Martin Parish
26 Week Raffle
1,000 tickets are printed each year for our St. Martin 26 Week Raffle. Each ticket costs $26.00. Drawings take place the first 26 Sundays of the year from January through June. Tickets are valid for all 26 weeks. Each week a ticket will be drawn, and the winner will receive $500. Winners will be contacted by phone the day of each drawing. Winners will also be posted on our parish Facebook page and our parish website. Tickets for the next year go on sale beginning in October at our Fall Social.
Fall Social
The St. Martin Fall Social is held each year on the first Sunday of October on the church grounds in Chrisney. Our social features Norb’s famous soup, pork chop and fried chicken dinners, homemade ice cream, cobblers, and other tasty foods. We also have games and activities for all ages, including our big raffle, quilt raffle, cake wheel, silent auction, face painting, youth barrel rides and cruise-in car show. Come out for a day of great food, activities, and community spirit!
