Finance Commission

The Finance Commission monitors the parish’s budget and assures the budget is followed by all factions of the parish.  This Commission prepares each year’s budget for the Parish Council to approve and also oversees and regulates all fundraisers.  The Finance Commission meets once a month, usually on the third Tuesday of the month. Members are appointed for 2 year terms and may serve up to 3 consecutive terms.

Classic Corvette Giveaway

For over 26 years, St. Bernard Church has raffled a classic car with winners drawn at the annual Summer Social in July.  We are known nationwide for our raffle and the vintage, high quality and original Corvettes that we offer each year.  This raffle is one of the most successful fundraisers in the Diocese of Evansville and is St. Bernard’s top fundraiser each year.   For more information or if you would like to be a part of the classic car committee, contact chairperson David Lovell at (812) 649-9082.

Summer Social

The St. Bernard Summer Social features delicious fried chicken and roast beef dinners, our famous turtle soup, homemade ice cream and other tasty foods, games and activities for all ages, including the big money raffle, quilt raffle and the Classic Corvette Giveaway. Benefit Auction

Each Spring heralds the coming of the St. Bernard Annual Benefit Auction and Dinner!  This benefit features a hog roast, luau, silent auction, and live auction. Scrip

If a penny gets your thoughts, what do you get for SCRIP? Pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters don’t seem to add up to much, but start multiplying them by hundreds and thousands and we are talking about serious cash … that is what our SCRIP program is all about! By simply purchasing Scrip you can choose where you would like your dollars to go to work. There are several funds to choose from:  St. Bernard Building Fund, School Tuition Fund, CEF Fund, St. Bernard PTO Fund, St. Bernard Fund, St. Martin Fund and the Youth Activities/Religious Education Fund. Wills and Endowments

St. Bernard Parish has a permanent endowment legacy that will ensure that the parish and the school continue, and that our cemetery is maintained long after we individual parishioners may no longer be here.

  • The St. Bernard Parish Endowment has been started to benefit the general needs of the parish.
  • The St. Bernard School Endowment will be available to assist with the needs of St. Bernard School.
  • The St. Bernard Cemetery Endowment has been established to ensure the perpetual care of the cemetery.

Catholic Parishes Campaign (CPC)

The CPC is an annual diocesan financial campaign. As a Catholic Parish, we belong to the Diocese of Evansville and thus have an obligation to support the work of the entire diocese.

Collection Counter Ministry
